Today we checked out of our first hotel in Australia. We took an hour and a half bus ride to our first game on our foreign tour!
We played against the Geelong Supercats and it was almost my first basketball game to end in a tie. We agreed to play a two minute overtime and after two of these, Fordham won its first overseas game in Australia!
The game ended with a quick play for a layup with five seconds to play in double overtime.
It was our first game as new team and you could tell everyone was a little nervous. Each player of the team did something to contribute to the win as well as a learning experience for us all! We are headed to our next hotel and are ready to enjoy some free time in downtown Melbourne.
One more game in Australia until we are off to New Zealand !
